I have a question. My boyfriend was fingering me yesterday and he saw blood on his fingers. He got a little worried b/c he thought he was hurting me or something, which he wasn't. I immediatly thought it was the hymen, but then I remembered at least a year ago (I cant remember exactly when) this happened before with him and I, except that there was a little more blood invloved. Can the hymen break more than once? I am also expected to be gettng my period on Tuesday so I wasnt sure if it was the start of that or not. If it was my period, could it be delayed now? (After he saw the blood we stopped and I went to the bathroom and it wasn't there anymore and no more came out after that point).

Understand that the hymen doesn't so much 'break' as wear away over time. However, that's not likely what caused the bleeding. Much more likely that your boyfriend scratched you a little. That's nothing to worry about much, but can be prevented if your boyfriend makes sure to trim his nails or, better yet, if he wears gloves.
And nope, sexual activity doesn't affect your period.
