I hope this is an appropriate topic; please let me know if this goes outside any guidelines.
So my boyfriend and I have been kind of itching for each other's bodies all of winter break and were looking forward to getting back to school and having all Sunday evening with each other. But my period, being the slightly vindictive thing that it is, decided to come a bit early (and here I was wondering what I'd do if it was late).
I usually use a DivaCup on my menstrual cycle, and try (about 50% of the time, yeah it's laziness on my part) to use a diaphram during intercourse (before anyone questions me, we always use protection, just not always the diaphram). So I'm wondering... can I use the diaphram like an inside-out DivaCup and have relatively mess-free sex on my period? Or will the, ahem, blood pressure affect the effectiveness of the seal? Has anyone tried this before and does it work?

One of the bennies of the diaphragm is that it can be used for intercourse during menstruation, and yep, it works just fine.
