Ok I know I am ready I know everything there is to know about sex pretty much to make the right decision for me. But I keep getting different answers on wether the guy has to be erect?

For penis-in-vagina intercourse? Yes. That's pretty basic.

In addition, a man has to have an erection to put a condom on, too. For ANY sexual activity.
