Ok, I'm dying here. I had an STD risk and I do have an appointment at Planned Parenthood on Monday the 17th. Everything looked fine and I was just having the STD check as a precaution, but now I think I found a sore of some kind on my labia and it's really freaking me out. I looked with a mirror and the area is red, but I can't find an actual sore of any type, but it kind of hurts. It looks like the blood vessels in the area are inflamed. That was the only difference I could find. Does this sound like anything familiar? Like I said, I'm just trying to get an idea here and I'll know for sure after my appointment.

Most to all genital infections can cause inflammation, soreness or redness. And many can cause sores.

Basically, saying you have genital swellling or redness and wanting a guestimate diagnosis is akin to saying that you have a fever and asking what might be wrong with you: it's terribly general, and nothing anyone can guess about.

Really you just have to wait it out until you have your appointment and try and chill in the interim, because until you get looked at, there's nothing to be done. if it's freaking you out TOO much, you could go ahead to a walk-in clinic or urgent care facility, but otherwise, it's the waiting game.
