Hi this is my first post on the boards so I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Em and I'm an 18 year old female. Okay now on to my question.
My boyfriend and I have been having dry sex (with 4 layers of clothing) for about a year now (that is the only sort of sexual activites we have done besides kissing). Well, after we do this, usually about 2 days later I notice that I get a medium sized bump on my vagina (on the area that was being rubbed during the dry sex) and it hurts very bad and it is red. Then it goes away in about 4-5 days and doesn't bleed or crust or anything. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this also from dry sex, and if it is normal. Thank you.

If you have any kind of bump that you are worried about, and it keeps coming back, I think you should go see your doctor or go to the GYNO.

Here at Scarleteen, we try to help people the best of are ability but we are not doctors. It could be anything, so thats why I suggest going to see a doctor. You will get results faster.

getting bumps checked by doctors is a splendid, splendid thing. really.

but if i may throw in my 2¢, is one of those 4 layers made of tight denim? if your jeans or trousers are too tight, you might be getting a nasty chafing in your very sensitive bits.

perhaps it'd be easiest for you to simply get your boy some rubbers and use those during dry sex. that way, you could do away with the trousers or jeans and not get so irritated.

and do get the bump inspected by a real doc, since i'm not one (yet ).

Yeah, a condom and two pairs of silk pajamas would nicely do away with any chafing problems. Another thing to remember are buttons and zippers. These are not friendly clothing items when genitals are involved (flashback to Something About Mary). A large button or zipper could cause unpleasantness. If it doesn't appear to be inflamed or infected then I wouldn't worry about it too much, but you might want to reconsider your wardrobe for this kind of stuff.

In response to someone's question, yes, those layers do include jeans. The annoying bump is gone, just as usual, and it wasn't infected or anything. So, thanks everyone, you all really helped alot.
