I just assumed all condoms with lubricant used the water-based kind...Especially considering the fact that oil based lubes break condoms. So maybe one was just being more specific?

Look at the specific ingredients. There do exist silicone lubricants, but they aren't meant to be used with latex condoms.

However, if in the batch of condoms were a few NON-latex ones (Like Durex Avantis), it's possible the lube on them is different. Bear in mind though that unless you are latex-allergic, you should use latex, as the others do not protect as well against disease. They may also have been differentiating between lubricant and spermicidal lubricant.

In addition, I usually reccommend unlubricated condoms to be used with bottled latex-safe lubricant, not spermicidally-lubricated condoms.

They are Durex Pure Protection Water Based Lubricant. On the back it says : Warning, this product contains natural rubber latex which may cause allergic reactions. Another Question- Whats the difference between : Trusted Shape and Contoured Shape?

That's brand terminology. But some condoms are pretty much straight up and down, and others have a thinner bottom, and a top that is shaped like the head of a penis.

Jayjers,

Sometimes when you buy an assortment like that they throw expired condoms in there. So just double check the date k? I wouldn't want anything to go wrong.
