i found this website to be extremely helpful last month when my boyfriend and i first considered having sex. because of scarleteen, we were both more prepared when we did lose our virginity together.

since then, we've only had intercourse one other time- four days ago. since then, i've noticed that i've been secreting vaginal fluids. my period is due in a few days, so perhaps it has something to do with that.. but if not, is this normal after sex? we used condoms but i'm still kind of paranoid that i might be pregnant; could this be a sign of pregnancy?

thanks.

If you used a condom during ANY contact of his penis and your vagina, and it didn't break, then you have no pregnancy risk at all. Risk from condoms only occurs if it breaks, or if it wasn't on the whole time.

My guess is that basically, sex has simply made you a little more aware of your body; you're paying closer attention. During every cycle, the vagina has a number of different kinds of mucus, and it is generally thicker in the week and a half before menstruation.

This site helped me as well. I noticed the same thing you did and I'm not pregnant. I would agree that you probably are just noticing more and worrying too because you don't want to be pregnant.
