This is just your typical fag hag/gay guy situation according to everyone else, which it probably is. So we took some time apart to distance ourselves, everyone felt our relationship was unhealthy, it wasn't like we couldn't function without each other we were just a little too close and people picked up on it. We've both had dates and shown interest in other people but that little spark was still there, after he sent me a text saying I was his one true love and I replied I felt the same we decided to put some distance between us and didn't talk for a while.
Things have just started getting ok again, until the other night when we were drinking and one of my freinds asked if two people out of our group of friends woke up naked next to each other what would the reaction be and he said if he woke up naked next to me he'd think his dream came true. Obviously the distance hasn't worked as well as we hoped. He's 20, a virgin and never been in a relationship and he's started trawling dating websites but i'm worried he's gonna end up with some skeaze who will treat him bad just for the sake of him being with someone. How do I stop worrying and learn to let him go?

Who knew there was a typical situation like this!
Before anything else, I want to just check in with you to make sure I understand.
Is this about you feeling like your relationship is codependent, or just too close for comfort? He seems to be expressing he may have sexual feelings for you (which happens: being gay doesn't always mean attraction to someone of another sex/gender CAN'T happen. How do you feel about those? Do you share them? In either case, are you comfortable with them?
In other words, do you *want* to let this person/relationship go?
