well, i dont mind people knowing Im gay, so I was thinking the best way for people to know is by changing my orientation on myspace. is this a good idea?

Really, posting something for all the internet to see is not a great way to come out.
First of all, your friends and family may feel really hurt that you didn't tell them personally.
Secondly, it makes very personal information about you available to anyone on the net who passes by. That's not a great idea under any circumstances.
You're very young, and it was only last month that you were posting about thinking that you might be a lesbian because of recent feelings about your friend.
So give yourself some time for you and your friends to adjust to your identity and orientation before you start announcing it to the entire world, okay?

One of my good guy friends came out to the masses via myspace, and he hurt a bunch of people in doing so because he didn't tell them personally. They felt like he didn't care about them or value their friendship enough to tell them in person. It was a catalyst that lead to the detriment of at least four friendships.
So based on that, I don't recommend doing so until you've told everyone important to you in person.
