When a person is pregnant, and far enough along for a pregnancy to be determined by any test, then a urine test, blood test, or physical exam correctly done is most likely to verify that pregnancy.

Sometimes a person or clinician may make errors with any of these things, but if and when they're made, they're not likely to be made more than once. So, for instance, if an error is made with a test or exam at, say, 4 weeks of pregnancy, it's not likely to be made again at 6.

It might help to remember that for a person to sustain a pregnancy, hCG has to be present and rising. Otherwise, a pregnancy can't continue to develop.
