Hi there. I have been sexually active since January, and since I have skipped my January period and my February period was a bit late but otherwise normal. This month, my period was due at around this time. But for the last week, I have been having spotting of brownish discharge with a small bit of blood. My partner and I used condoms every time we had intercourse, and without failure.

Could this discharge be a sign of pregnancy? Or do I just have irregular periods?

If you have not had a significant risk of pregnancy after your February period, (unprotected genital touching, ejaculate on/around vagina, etc.) you are likely not pregnant. Whenever you have brownish bleeding, you can know that your body is expelling old blood. You'll usually see this right before your period starts or right after, and it's perfectly normal.
