Have you considered offering to babysit for some of your friends with children? Then you get your baby fix, they get some time out of the house (which I bet they'd appreciate -- I bet if you asked them, they'd tell you that parenting is a lot more than just saying "aren't they cute" all day), everyone benefits. Or you could volunteer at a pre-school in your area and spend more time with children. There are lots of ways to work with children and to spend time with them without having them. Plus, you get to give them back at the end of the day.

Do you really have the money to support a child right now, on your own and in the next 18 years? How will you pay for diapers, food, clothes, a place to live, furniture, school supplies, presents on birthdays and Christmases? Wouldn't you rather wait to have a baby until you can give your child a solid support in life?

Thank you so much, both of you. I understand now that even though I may think I'm ready... I'm not. I am actually working at a Tanning Salon with a women who has an 18 month old baby who I absolutley adore! I practically watch him all day (when I'm not folding towels/washclothes or cleaning the beds. Thanks to both of you and I enjoyed the past posts... I didn't know that babies could cost so much! I mean I knew they were expensive... but Whoa! *giggles*

Lotsa Luv-
