hi! My name is Alli. I am an 18 year old single mama to a 2 year old son. I am the editor of www.girlmom.com, a freelance journalist, recepionist, and college student.

I am an education major, and plan on becoming an English/life skills teacher at a school for pregnant and parenting teens. I just wanted to say hi, (hi Nancy!) and join in on your conversations!

Hi! Just want to say I think girlmom is a great place!

I'm not a mom and at this point I'm not sure if I ever will be one. I did lose one baby to miscarriage at 9 weeks when I was 15, due to my illness, lupus. Sometimes it's interesting to see what young moms go through, since I was almost in that position.

Hope you enjoy it here, we're all fun!

mamaalli, I'm going to make a wild leap here and assume that you wrote the "I am not garbage" feature on girl-mom. I love it, it's fantastic... you sound like you really are strong and have good direction, and your page looks lovely.

Wow...That article was absolutely breathtaking it made me cry lol it is just soo true...that describes everything I felt and hoped and wow that was amazing and I am soo happy for you...P.S I am Taylor and I have a set of 3 year old b/g twins and a 3 month old baby boy...

Your welcome you deserve it...I am just so not used to seing something for teen mothers...poeple make me feel like I am whatever is lower than the lowest peice of grime...anyways I was 13 turning 14 when I had my twins Ashleigh and Skyler and I was and am 17 when I had Denzel my youngest...the twins are from my ex bf and my son is from my now boyfriend who i am currently living with they are all bi-racial part african american part caucasian(<-Me)
ummmm...they are my life and I was thinking more like being forced into adoption also and I decided to keep them which was tough becaus ethey were twins right well I did it and am still doing it to this day and I would not change my decission for all the money in the world...
