I get a sore throat for some reason whenever I eat something that is REALLY buttery or REALLY greasy... but I'm not sure if that sounds logical at all. Last night I ate some shrimp with a rich garlic butter sauce my brother made, and my throat started to ache a bit, now all day it's been hurting... its kind of scratchy and accompanied by a headache. This has happened a few times before after I ate something buttery/greasy. Could I be allergic...? :? Thanks!

I wouldn't say you're allergic to butter or cooking oils, but you may have an intolerance to some ingredient in them. Most butters consist of cream, salt and annato, or coloring. Cooking oils contain a whole lot more.
Try cutting back on the butter and cooking oils, and see how your throat feels. Also, you might want to check with a doctor and see if there's not an underlying problem that's being set off by the cooking oils.
