5 days ago, I noticed that I had some white discharge & it was also itching down there, and that I could actually see white stuff in my vagina (right inside the outer lips). I told my mom & she called my pediatrician (yes, I still see a pediatrician) and got medicine for a Yeast Infection. They said between 3 - 5 days for it to get better, and while there is no longer any itching and discharge, I still see white stuff inside my vagina.

Does this mean the infection is clearing up (even though it's already been 5 days?) Or is there something else that can cause white stuff to build up in the vagina? What can this be if not an infection???

THANK YOU
~M

For future reference, you should get a diagnosis IN PERSON, because there is more than one type of vaginitis. A yeast infection is but one.

I'd say give it two more days or so. If it's not cleared up then, then do go IN the office for a GYN exam.
