I have a terrible canker sore, on the underside of my tongue. It hurts very badly and I was wondering if anyone knew of anything that might make it go away faster, or feel better. I know there is orajel and the like, but those don't work at all for me. I'd be ever so thankful for anything you had! Thanks so so much

For numbing the pain away, I like this stuff called Kank-Aid. I got a lot of sores when I had braces, and Zilactin worked well for helping them heal, but it didn't numb too much.
If your sore sticks around, go see your doctor becuase they could perscribe something more effective.

Kenalog is what I was prescribed for my sores. It works pretty well. In the meantime, you can temporarily ease the soreness with ice and avoid salty, spicy or sour foods.

I've always been told to swish with warm salt water. Or swish with Scope or Listerine... that hurts, but apparently mine went away. Does anyone know what causes canker sores?? Mine tend to come up when I've eaten sugary foods, or suckers.
