I recently (within the past 7 hours) found a very small black bump on the inside of my mouth, opposite my top front teeth, near my top lip. It's sort of sensitive when I touch it with my tongue, and tastes a little of iron. What could this be?

It's possible it's a blood blister. I get those from time to time and they clear up in a day or two. Have you bitten your lip recently or eaten anything sharp?
