Hello again!

Well, it's prom season and my prom is coming up. I happen to be wearing a very pretty white dress.

Unfortunately, my birth control is telling me that I must have my period that night.

Is there any safe way for me to postpone my period until after the prom? How would I go about this?

You could *try* to postpone it. To do so, you need to call your gyn. or doctor (whomever prescribes you your pills), and make sure it's ok through them to try to skip your withdrawal bleed.

You would do so by skipping your withdrawal bleed, and going straight to your next pack of pills. This only works if you are on a monophasic pill, and it doesn;t always give the best results.

Chances are you would still encounter some spotting, if not your full withdrawal bleed anyway. There really is no way of knowing unless you try it.

So keep that in mind, and make sure you check with your doctor before trying it, to make sure it'll be safe for you.
