Hi. My bestest ever pal is being bullied at school. Her grandad died a few months ago, and since then she has gone into depression and self harms. Since she lives in guernsey, I do not see her often. She always tells me, and I can get her to stop for a while, but as soon as shes back on the island, she slips into it again. This has happened three times. Please PLEASE help me...

There's only so much good we can do here (and I am no expert at all on this subject).

I would make sure that she knows you are there for her, and do your best to make sure she gets into some counseling, for her grief and for her self-harming.

Has she talked to the teachers at her school about the bullying? They should be willing to step in and try to stop it.

The school nurse may also be able to provide help and support with the depression.
