Hokay, my periods are incredibly and unapologetically irregular. However, I've noticed, sort of, a pattern in my periods. It seems like every other period is extremely late. Like, for example, one period I had was on exactly 28 days, and the next period skipped two months. The period after that was on 35th day, which isn't bad at all for me, and now the period I'm waiting for is almost two weeks late. It seems every other period I skip completely.

After paying closer attention to my discharge, I've started to get an idea of when I ovulate. For two days, I get a slight pain on one side and very copious, thick discharge. After that, I am somewhat dry for a while.

This cycle, though, I've had that ovulation feeling twice.

Is it possible to ovulate twice before you get a period? Is it possible that every other period I have I ovulate more times than one?

And also, in case it's of any importance, I've had a pelvic exam and I do not have uterine cysts (but I'm not sure if ovarian cysts can be seen from just an internal).

Thanks for any information!

Yes, you CAN ovulate twice before a period. After all, you have two ovaries, and sometimes they aren't running on the same schedule. It is common for young women to have irregularities in their ovulation patterns. That's why we always stress that women use contraception all the time, instead of trying to estimate their fertility and winging it.
