just the other day, i was in the shower, and i look down at my familiar testicles. that day, all was well. today, i take a shower, and i notice that they are hanging a good inch or half inch farther down. have my testicles dropped? do i know right away? can they drop over night? help! thank you.

testicles "dropping" refers to when they descend from the groin and into the scrotum.

what you're seeing is just your testicles hanging a little lower than normal. that's common in a hot shower or on warm days. The testes like to control their temperature, and they do this by huddling close to the body when they're cold, or hanging a little farther away when they're warm. muscles and ligaments help move the testes up and down.

so what you saw in the shower is normal, and it's just your testes trying to cool off.
