About 5 minutes after swallowing my pill I took a mouthful of water but it went down the wrong way and I choked a bit causing a coughing fit, would there be any chance that this would have brought the pill back up? Do I need to take another one today? I don't think I felt the pill come up again

Unless you saw the pill come back out or you threw up as a result of choking, you can assume that the pill was absorbed like normal.

It's supposed to only take seconds for something to go from your mouth to your stomach so surely there's no way I could have brought it back up?

We really can't know what happened with your pill but as Sam said, unless you actually noticed that you coughed it up it's safe to assume you didn't. You've had a few questions about your pill and its effectiveness; how comfortable do you feel about it as a birth control method?
