How do you deal with insecurity?

How do you deal with insecurity?

We talk with plenty of people here at Scarleteen who are struggling with insecurity around their bodies and relationships. Insecurity can be a hard creature to shake, and most of us will never get rid of it completely. Which got me thinking: how do you manage insecurity when it pops up in your life?

One thing that helps me is a phrase, attributed to Thomas Edison, that goes, "I have discovered a hundred ways not to make a light bulb." It helps me remember that mistakes and imperfections are part of life, and not something to be ashamed of.
