Am I the only person who always feels so awkward talking on sites?
I feel like a creeper if I don't say anything ever, but I just feel so, so very awkward.
Tell me I'm not alone in this!
Ugh, the awkward..

Hi MagiCurious! I totally get what you mean, I used to feel really weird talking online. But as a young teenager I spent many years on forums so after a while I just got used to it and forgot about feeling awkward! Now I feel even less awkward than I do in face-to-face conversations I think it's really just a matter of practise and getting used to the medium!
I find it pretty easy to talk on here, because you have an infinite amount of time to figure out exactly what you want to say. Whereas in person, I find it difficult to articulate my thoughts properly in a non-awkward amount of time. I spend a lot of time just reading other people's conversations, and it doesn't feel really creepy since they were written here where anyone can read them. I guess it is kind of like eavesdropping... I am interested in why people do what they do, social/behavioural stuff - maybe you are too. I am a bit cautious about saying something wrong or something like that, but as long as I don't hurt anybody, saying things here doesn't stress me out. I know when I walk into school the next day, I won't have to worry about anyone thinking I'm weird, because these are people I don't even know.
