'Tranny/Trannies' is a slur by the way. Are you trying to talk about crossdressers or trans people? I'm not sure what you mean by self-proclaimed, the individual is the best judge of that. I mean detransition is a thing but I can't think of any time or place where you could call someone 'self proclaimed' regarding a trans identity and not come off as extremely iffy at best.

Are you referring to people who re-claim that word to refer to themselves? If so, then there are likely some trans people out there who choose to reclaim the word in defiance of the people who use it against them, but in the general trans community it's still considered a slur.
