Hey guys. I'm 18 and have really small breasts, I'm like a 32A, but I'm also only 5'3 and around 110 pounds. I got my period when I was 13 and my breasts have not gotten any larger. When I first got my period, I was around 135 pounds at my heaviest, but they were not any bigger then than they are now (I didn't go on a diet, the weight just melted away). I want to go on the pill to regulate my period because I still don't really get it regularly, however it is becoming more predictable. I was wondering if I go on the pill my breasts will get larger, because maybe since I'm not getting my period as steady as I should, and maybe it has to do with my hormone levels or something, if going on the pill will make them bigger? And what about helping with acne?(And my mom is a small B cup btw).
THANKS for your help!
Going on the pill just to make your breasts bigger screams BAD IDEA to me.
For one, there is no guarantee that going on the birth control pill will actually make your breasts bigger. (Particularly if you're smaller-breasted now: noticeable breast growth with the pill primarily occurs to women who are already larger-breasted.) Even if they do get bigger, how much? Will it even be noticeable to anyone but you? And when you come off the pill, chances are good that your breasts will go back to the way they were. Your best bet would be to try to learn to accept and love your body the way it is, rather than try to change it.
The pill also does not regulate cycles in the long run. Short term, yes, but only while you're actually on the pill. Once you come off the pill, your cycles will go back to the way they were. Certain pills have been shown to reduce acne; this is something you'll have to discuss with your doctor.
In short; there is nothing wrong with having 32A breasts. Doesn't mean there is anything hormonally wrong with you. As always though, if you have any concerns about your health or are considering going on the birth control pill, the best person to discuss this with would be your doctor.
