Susie replies:I'm 16, and I am still a virgin. When I masturbate it feels good, but when it's over nothing comes out. I was told that when you climax, something is supposed to come out. So is there something wrong with me?
Fear not! There's nothing wrong with you. Well, there might be, but it's certainly not pertaining to this matter.
That "something" that is "supposed" to come out during orgasm is something called female ejaculate (not surprisingly, the action is called female ejaculation. There is a small proportion of the female population who eject a clear, odorless, slick (not sticky like semen!) fluid that is similar to prostatic fluid. This fluid is made in the female homologue of the prostate: the paraurethral gland. All women have this structure, which is located just below the urethra, but only some can release fluid from it. When a woman ejaculates, the muscular contractions during orgasm push the fluid that has collected in the paraurethral gland out through the urethra. Sometimes women mistake this for accidental urination, and they get very embarrassed about it.
The real gist of it is: there is nothing wrong with you if you cannot ejaculate, and there is nothing wrong with you if you can ejaculate.
