I just had a quick little question that I for the life of me can't find the answer to; what is the purpose or function of the labia minora?

The labia minora help protect your vaginal introitus (the anatomical name for the opening) when it's not being used. When you are sexually aroused, the labia minora swell up with some blood as part of an anatomical display saying, "I'm ready!" They have some nerve endings, which helps enhance sexual pleasure. Any more explanation would require the theistically-inclined to ask God.
