Intercourse in a Lake

kate asks:

What could happen if you have intercourse in a lake?

Paul replies:

Dear Kate,

Whales do it all the time, in the ocean, anyway. However, contrary to what you might think, one of the problems with having sex in water (lakes, oceans, rivers, hot tubs) is that it can easily become dry sex. That's because water washes out the natural lubrication in the vagina. A solution is to use a lubricant that is silicone based. These are the newest kind of sex lube, and there are many different brands. Although they are water-based and condom safe, they tend not to wash off in water. Apply the silicone lube to both yours and his while they are still dry, then hop into the lake for an experience that can bring a smile to the Jacques Cousteau in all of us.

Also keep in mind that having sex in water does not preclude the need for birth control. We don't want you giving birth to a baby dolphin, salmon or, heaven forbid, a trout.
